Privacy Policy

 Effective Date: 2026

Welcome!

So you stumbled on to our privacy policy page. We understand, reading legal stuff is probably not the best time. But hey, we really do care about your privacy and want you to know what goes on when you hang out with us. No confusing jargon. No hidden tricks. Just some straight talk about what we do with your information.

Who are we?

We are Techtip – a tech blog that covers AI, programming tutorial, technology and everything around Artificial Intelligence. Our aim is straightforward: to help you stay informed and learn something of value. This privacy policy discloses what information we gather when you visit our site and how it is used.

What Information Do We Collect?

Let’s break it down frankly:

Information You Give Us Directly

  • Email Address – When you subscribe to our newsletter or email us using the contact form

  • Name – Shared when you comment or get in touch with us

  • Comments – The content of your comments remain attached to your profile

Information We Collect Automatically

While perusing our blog, some information is collected in the background:

  • IP Address – To help us determine where our readers are located

  • Browser Type – Chrome, Firefox, Safari or otherwise

  • Device Information – Whether you access through mobile, desktop or tablet

  • Pages Visited – Which articles captured your interest here.

Cookies

Cookies are small files stored on your device that assist our website in remembering things. Here’s what we use them for:

  • Essential Cookies – to keep the site running smoothly

  • Analytics Cookies – to see how people use our site (we use Google Analytics)

  • Advertising Cookies – to show you ads if that is relevant

You can always turn these off via your browser settings. Fair warning, though — you may lose access to some features if you do.

How Do We Use Your Information?

Real talk – this is why we gather data from you:

  1. To send you newsletters — But only if you signed up for them. Spam annoys us as much as it does you.

  2. To make our content better – Knowing what you read helps us come up with better future articles on everything from AI to coding and tech trends!

  3. To reply to you – When you contact us, we need your email to respond back.

  4. For Site security – Preventing spammers, bots and other malicious activity.

  5. To identify top content – We would like to know if people have found our machine learning guide useful or who didn’t even make it past that page.

Third-Party Services We Work With

We don’t operate alone. Here are some services which may have access to some data:

Google Analytics

We use it to measure our website traffic. Otherwise, it’s worth looking at this privacy policy from Google.

Advertising Networks

If we display ads on our site, networks such as Google AdSense and other may collect data to tailor advertising. You can opt out of personalized ads across the web in Google’s ad settings.

Tools For Email

For email news letters, we could utilize service such as Mailchimp and etc. Your email sits with them as well, but just to send you our updates.

Hosting Provider

Our website and direct-to-consumer product are hosted by a web hosting company that may, from time to time, retain logs of basic access information for security purposes.

Do We Share Your Data?

Short answer: Not really. We do not sell your personal information to anyone. Period.

We could potentially share information in these outlying cases:

  • Legal Requests – Where the law requires (eg a warrant)

  • Service Providers – Other parties vital to keeping the site alive (there’s that word again)

  • Consent – If you request or direct us too

Your Rights (This Part is Important)

Your data belongs to you. You have that option already, but it isn’t very intuitive, and up until now users could only download their personal data for export to another service (following the requirements of the Data Transfer Project).

Here’s how you can do each:

  • Access – Ask us what we know about you

  • Correction – Let us know if anything needs correcting

  • Deletion – Want us to erase your data? Just ask

  • Unsubscribe – Every email has an unsubscribe link at the bottom

  • Opt-Out – You can always disable cookies and opt out of analytics tracking

If you are in the EU, GDPR gives you MORE rights. California people, you have CCPA rights as well. We value them all.

How Long Do We Retain Your Data?

We don’t stockpile it.

  • Email Subscribers – We store your data until you unsubscribe

  • Comments – The comments and the metadata about them are retained unless we remove that stuff

  • Analytics Data – These records are kept for 26 months, then they get destroyed or aggregated

  • Contact Form Messages – If you contacted us, those messages stay on file as long as necessary for reference

Security Stuff

How We Keep Your Shit Safe

It’s nothing fancy, but it should be good enough:

  • SSL encryption throughout the gazella site

  • Secure passwords on all accounts (not just admin)

  • Regular software updates (including our CMS and plugins)

Access to sensitive information is restricted: only employees who need it have access.

All of that said, no thingy can ever promise absolute security. We try, but we can never achieve absolute security. The internet is a crazy place.

Children’s Privacy

Our blog does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are a parent or legal guardian and think your child has shared personal information with us, please let us know at and we will remove it.

External Links

Our stories may link to other sites — a GitHub page, an AI tool or a news story. Click that link and you’re on their turf. We can’t control what they do with your data, so look at their privacy policies as well.

Changes to This Policy

Technology is fast-paced and we may need to update this policy to keep pace with changes in our technology and practices. We’ll update the “Last Updated” date above when we make changes. For significant changes, we will send our newsletter or site announcement. Stay tuned.
